POS software for bars
A bar does not work like a restaurant: you charge per drink, turnover is high and the ticket is low. Ordeli covers the counter with two-tap payment, the terrace with a QR menu so guests order without waiting, and a balanced cash-up at the end of the shift. From €79 a month.
No card, no lock-in and no hardware to buy.
Taking money at the counter is two taps
Drink and payment, with no table to open and no bill to close. What is ordered and paid on the spot should not need three screens.
The terrace stops being the bottleneck
Terrace customers order and pay from the QR on their table. It is where most time is lost and where removing it shows most.
The till balances without a spreadsheet
Float, cash takings, withdrawals and the count. The discrepancy comes out worked out, not hunted down at two in the morning.
The counter and the table are not charged the same way
At the counter the sale closes on the spot: a beer, a snack, paid, done. At a table the sale lasts two hours, changes waiter and gets split between four people.
A POS built only for tables makes you open and close a bill to charge for a coffee, and that, multiplied by two hundred drinks in a morning, is half an hour lost a day.
- Direct payment with no table opened, for what is paid on the spot.
- An open table with several rounds for whoever stays.
- Separate areas: counter, room and terrace, each with its own menu if you want.
- Opening hours per category: breakfast drops off by itself at lunchtime.
The terrace, which is where service goes to die
The distance between the terrace and the counter is why a customer waits ten minutes for somebody to look at them. With the QR on the table they order themselves, and it lands at the counter directly.
And they pay when they want, which on a summer terrace is the difference between turning the table over and having them sit twenty minutes waiting for the bill.
Beer and coffee do not carry the same VAT
Alcoholic drinks fall under a different VAT rate, and in a bar that is not an edge case: it is half the list. Ordeli lets you set a rate per dish or per drink and breaks the receipt down by rate.
Every payment also creates its signed VeriFactu record. No separate module and no changing software.
Without buying a cash register
It runs in the browser, so a tablet on the counter or the waiter's phone will do. If you want to print, any networked thermal printer works.
There is no closed terminal to buy and no hardware supplier to be tied to. And if the bar has four tables, the Starter plan covers up to ten.
Frequently asked questions
Does this work for a pub?
For the drinks side, yes: counter service, fast payment, terrace and the till. If your pub also does food service to tables, that is covered too. What is not here is anything to do with accommodation.
Does it work for a counter bar with barely any tables?
Yes. You can take payment without opening a table, so the counter flow works on its own. The tables are there if you ever use them, but they do not get in the way.
Can I have a different menu on the terrace and at the counter?
Yes. Each area can serve its own menu, and categories can have opening hours: breakfast stops showing at lunchtime without anyone switching it off.
Does it handle the different VAT on alcoholic drinks?
Yes. You can set a VAT rate per product and the receipt comes out broken down by rate, which is what your accountant needs.
How many tables does the cheapest plan cover?
Starter covers up to 10 tables and one device, at €79/month on an annual plan. For a counter bar with a small terrace that is usually plenty.
Does it work for a terrace I only open in summer?
Yes. Areas are switched on and off from the panel, so you can have the terrace set up only for the season you use it.
Can I run the counter till and the terrace till separately?
Cashing up is per venue, not per area. What you can see separately is the sales for each area in the reports.
