1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Alongside them we use the browser's local storage, which serves a similar purpose and is subject to the same rules.

2. How we ask for your consent

Analytics cookies are not set until you accept them. While you have not answered the notice, or if you reject it, there are none — you can check this yourself in your browser’s cookie settings.

Google's measurement tag does load from the start, but in a denied state. In that state it writes no cookies and no identifiers: it only tells Google, anonymously and with no way to tie it to you, that the page was viewed. Google calls this advanced consent mode.

Rejecting is as easy as accepting: both buttons sit in the same notice, side by side, one click away.

3. What we store on your device

• _ga — Google Analytics cookie: tells your browser apart from other people’s so the same visit is not counted twice. Expires after 2 years. Only set if you accept.
• _ga_X0CFFR4FXG — Google Analytics cookie: keeps the state of your measurement session. Expires after 2 years. Only set if you accept.
• ordeli_cookie_consent — local storage: stores your answer to this notice so we do not ask again. Does not expire until you clear it. It is necessary to honour your decision, so it needs no consent.
• ordeli-locale — local storage: remembers the language you chose. Does not expire until you clear it. It is necessary for the site to work, so it needs no consent.

4. What we do not do

We use no advertising, profiling or social-network cookies, and we do not pass this data to advertisers. Google Analytics advertising features are switched off, and the permission we ask for covers analytics only.

5. Who processes the analytics data

Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), acting as a processor on behalf of Ordeli.

Data may be transferred to Google LLC servers in the United States. That transfer relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, to which Google is certified, and on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

Measurement data associated with a user is retained for 14 months. After that, Google deletes it.

6. Changing or withdrawing your decision

At the end of this page there is a preferences panel: accept or reject whenever you like, and the change takes effect immediately. If you withdraw consent, we not only stop measuring — we delete the analytics cookies already in your browser.

You can also set your browser to reject or delete cookies. Bear in mind that clearing local storage loses your chosen language and we will ask about cookies again.
