Table ordering on the waiter's phone

Table ordering turns the waiter's phone into the order pad, with no separate handheld to buy. In Ordeli the order is taken on that phone or on the customer's own, arrives split by destination — kitchen or bar — and is grouped by course, with an alert when a dish runs late.

No card and no handhelds to buy.

No walking back to the bar

The order leaves from the waiter's phone or the customer's own and lands straight in kitchen and bar, split by destination.

By course, not by speed

The kitchen fires a whole course at once and each dish's clock starts when it should, not when the table was opened.

Survives a dead signal

It keeps taking orders offline and syncs them when the network returns, without duplicating a single one.

Two ways to take an order, one kitchen

The waiter takes it on their phone or tablet without walking back to the bar. The customer can take it themselves from the table QR. Both land in the same place and in the same format.

That matters because at peak service what collapses is not the kitchen: it is the round trip to the bar.

Dessert stops arriving with the starters

Dishes are grouped by course — starters, mains, desserts — and the kitchen fires a whole course at once. A set lunch menu does not go out alongside the a la carte: each course waits for the previous one to be served.

Each dish's clock starts when it should, not when the table was opened. So a dessert ordered at the start does not sit in red from the first minute.

  • Grouped by course, with a button to fire the whole course.
  • Kitchen and bar each see only their own.
  • Variants, notes and modifiers visible on the dish line.
  • Colour alert when a dish goes past its expected time.

The internet drops and service carries on

The waiter app keeps taking orders offline. When the network returns they sync by themselves and without duplicating: every order carries its own identifier, so resending it never creates a second one.

Status changes made without signal apply just the same on reconnection.

And if your chef wants paper, there is still paper

A kitchen screen does not mean binning the printer. Ordeli can print the order to thermal at the same time, routed by destination: the bar's comes out at the bar and the kitchen's in the kitchen.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a special handheld?

No. It runs in the browser, so the phone your waiter already has or a cheap tablet will do. There are no closed terminals to buy.

Can the customer order without the waiter knowing?

The order lands in the kitchen and appears at the same time on the floor panel, so the waiter sees it in real time. Nothing is ordered behind anyone's back.

Can orders be split into rounds?

Yes, and that is the normal case. A table takes as many rounds as it needs without closing the bill in between; they all stay in the same table session.

Can I void a dish already sent to the kitchen?

Yes, with manager permission. Who voided it and when is recorded, so a discrepancy at cash-up never turns up unexplained.

Can I keep the thermal printer I already have?

Yes, as long as it is a network printer. Ordeli prints the order in parallel with the screen and routes by destination: the bar's at the bar and the kitchen's in the kitchen.

Does each waiter need their own account?

Each one signs in with a four-digit PIN, so swapping waiters on the same device is instant. And since every order records who took it, the shift report writes itself.
