Front of house: the table changes colour on its own
When the diner scans, the table turns occupied on the floor plan without anyone touching anything. When they order, the ticket appears. When they pay, it is marked. The waiter never has to go and check.
Tables that have been waiting too long flag themselves, so the warning arrives before the customer raises a hand.
In the kitchen: it arrives split and by course
The order reaches the kitchen screen grouped by course and split by station: bar items to the bar, kitchen items to the kitchen. Every dish carries its own clock, and the colour warns when it runs past the expected time.
Anyone who prefers paper still has paper: it prints in parallel on the same thermal printer.
At the bill: everyone pays their share and leaves
The default split is equal, which is how people actually pay in Spain. Anyone who wants to pay only for what they had can; and a shared dish is divided between the people who shared it.
The table does not close on the first payment: it stays open until the last person pays. Whoever is in a hurry leaves without waiting for the others.
Frequently asked questions
Does the customer have to download an app?
No. They scan the QR on their table with the phone camera and land straight in the browser. No sign-up, no password, no download.
What if a customer does not want to use their phone?
They are served as always: the waiter takes the order on their terminal and charges in cash or by card. The phone is one more option, not a condition.
Does it replace waiters?
No. It takes away the two tasks that eat the most time at peak — taking orders and going table by table to charge — so they are out in the room instead of walking back to the bar.
What happens if the internet drops mid-service?
The waiter app keeps taking orders and changing states offline, and syncs them when the network returns without duplicating anything. Card payments do need the network, as in any system.
How long does it take to get running?
As long as it takes you to build the menu. There is no installation and no technician visit: you sign up, load your dishes and your tables, and print the QR codes.
Do I need to change hardware?
No. It runs in the browser, so a tablet, a laptop or the phone your team already carries will do. For printing, any network thermal printer.
