Restaurant booking system
Ordeli's bookings live in the same place as the tables, so seating a booked guest opens the table by itself. It spots clashes before you accept, flags bookings coming up, and marks the ones that never turn up. Included in the Pro and Enterprise plans.
No card. Bookings come with Pro and Enterprise.
You never take the same table twice
Before confirming it checks whether that table is already taken at that time. Double booking stops depending on somebody reading the diary properly.
Seating is one tap
When the guest arrives you mark them seated and the table is assigned and opened by itself. Nothing to retype into the POS.
No-shows stop being invisible
Bookings that pass their time without arriving are marked automatically. After a few months you know how many you lose and in which slots.
The diary works until two people are writing in it
The problem with a booking diary is not the diary: it is that only whoever has it in front of them can see it. The moment one person takes a call at the bar and another is on the door, double-booked tables appear.
Here bookings live where the tables live, so whoever takes them sees the real state of the room and the system warns if that table is already committed at that time.
From the phone call to the table, with nothing retyped
A booking moves through its states without anyone keeping count by hand: pending, confirmed, seated, and from there the table carries on with its normal life.
- Name, phone, party size, date, time and expected duration.
- Clash warning against another booking on the same table and slot.
- Table assigned on seating, which opens the session automatically.
- Booking notes: allergies, birthdays, a high chair, a preferred table.
- A heads-up on bookings coming up, so the table is ready.
And the ones that never arrive
A booking that passes its time without turning up is marked as a no-show automatically, so the table becomes available again without anyone having to remember to release it.
The data is recorded. It is not much use in the first month, but by the third it tells you which slots fail and whether asking for confirmation at peak times is worth it.
Which plan bookings come in
Bookings come with the Pro and Enterprise plans, along with the kitchen display and advanced reports. The Starter plan does not include them.
If you are on Starter, the change is made from the panel and whatever is left of the period is prorated.
Frequently asked questions
Can my customers book online?
Today bookings are managed from the panel: your team enters them when people call or message. Public booking from the restaurant's own website is not available yet.
Does it integrate with TheFork or Google?
Not for now. The data model allows for a booking coming from an external source, but there is no published integration with any platform. If a lot of your covers come through TheFork, factor that in.
Are bookings in every plan?
No. They come with Pro and Enterprise. Starter covers the QR menu, POS, ordering, cashing up and tax compliance, but not bookings.
What if the guest turns up half an hour late?
The booking is marked as a no-show once its slot passes, but if they do arrive you can still seat them: you open a table for them like any other guest.
Can I take a booking without assigning a table?
Yes, and it is usually the practical way: you take the name, phone and party size, and the table is assigned on seating. That way you are not blocking the room hours in advance.
Is the guest notified about their booking?
Today there is no automatic confirmation or reminder. Bookings are managed from the panel; letting the guest know, if you do it, comes from your side.
