A menu that gets read is not a menu that sells
There are plenty of free services that publish your menu as a PDF behind a QR code. They solve the paper, and not much else: the customer reads, closes their phone and waits for the waiter exactly as before.
The difference is what happens after reading. If they can order and pay from that same screen, the digital menu stops being a leaflet and becomes the place where the sale happens.

Allergens stop being a footnote
EU Regulation 1169/2011 requires the fourteen allergens to be disclosed before the customer decides. A PDF menu usually deals with that through a footnote nobody reads.

Change a price and it changes on the phone of whoever is looking
Raising a price or marking a dish as sold out is done from the panel and appears instantly on the phone of anyone reading the menu at that moment.
If you run out of a dish mid-service, it can no longer be ordered. Nobody has to tell the floor or cross anything out.
Print the QR once and forget it
Each table code is permanent: printed once, it works forever, even if you replace the entire menu. No codes to regenerate and nothing to laminate again.
Frequently asked questions
Does the customer have to download an app?
No. It all happens in the phone browser. They scan the QR with the camera and go straight into their table's menu.
Can I have a different menu per area, like terrace and dining room?
Yes. Each area can serve its own menu, and categories can have opening hours: breakfast stops showing at lunchtime without anyone switching it off.
What if a customer does not want to use their phone?
They get served as always. The waiter takes the order on their device and the receipt comes out the same. The QR menu is an option for whoever wants it, not a condition.
What languages does the menu come in?
The interface is in Spanish, Catalan and English, and the guest picks. Dish names are whatever you type: if you write them in more than one language, that is what they see. Worth knowing in Catalonia, where the menu has to be available at least in Catalan.
Do I have to type the menu in by hand?
The first time, yes: there is no automatic import from a PDF or from another system. For a normal menu it is an afternoon's work, and after that changing a price or marking a dish sold out is two taps.
Is the QR menu free on its own?
We do not sell it separately. It is included in every plan alongside the POS, the kitchen screen and cashing up, from €79/month on an annual plan. If all you want is a PDF behind a QR code, there are free services that do exactly that and will serve you better.
